Walkthrough: Eitherians ship

Mission 3 - Eitherians ship

Part 1 - Data Retrieval



Note: Throughout most of the ship you will have at least one companion following you. However sometimes they do get lost and all so remember to check behind and see if they are still there and if they aren't wait awhile for them to catch up. If you still don't appear after a while then back track and find them.

     




 

Note: There are firefly sort of things through the level that automatically repair damaged or blown up machines near them. Also if you see things like on this and the next 2 screenshots, they sometimes spawn enemies but can be destroyed. Be aware that if there is a firefly thing nearby they will repair it again.

     
 

Enter the next room and fight off all the enemies. In that room there is a health terminal and a weapons crystal for the klingon weapons energy. Continue through the only other door in the room besides the one you came in and take the teleporter though the door at the end of the hall. You will transport into a new room with some more fighting. In the room is 2 red crsyal ammo's for klingon gun and and blue weapons (compression rifle) energy terminal as well as a door leading onwards. Take that door now.

     
 

In the new room will be 2 doors (the one you came in and another one) a centrel ladder colum which you can just off of at the top the get the a walkway around the top do that now.

     
 

Around the walkway the the top will be a control panel to open the other door. Use it all you will see a clip of a teleporter going the ground level somewhere and exit through the door that just opened. Exit though the door that just opened. Through that door is a bit more fighting and a health terminal and a weapons energy terminal (blue) as well as at door at the other end. Go though it now and follow the corridor though to the room back where you started. You would have come out at the door oposite the one you first entered. Also note that the teleporter in there that was up too high to access before is now down for you the enter (remember the clip after pressing the control terminal?). Enter the teleporter.

     
 

Follow the corridor to the next room and prepare for some new enemies. In that new room are some turrent like devices and some floating things for you to kill. When the fight is over there is a health and weapons energy terminal and well as two ammo crystals there. I won't tell you what terminals if any are there from now on I will let you see for yourself I think you get the drift. There is a spiral ramp in the middle leading up to a door which ends at a teleporter. Take that teleporter now. Contine on to the next room.

     
 

In the next room you will meet up with your bosses team and get a new mission then your bosses team will leave. In that room there is also new weapon with a small area of effect as well so watch it when firing. Be aware that as soon as you pick up the weapons a number of enemies will teleport in for a fight. Take the only other door out of the room which leads to the next part of the mission.

 

Part 2 - Deep Echoes

Continue to the room and fight (won't tell you when there is fights now you will find out soon enough). Facing into the room from where you came in there is an exit to the left and right. The right hand one just leads to a de-activated teleport which you cannot active right now so we won't go there yet and instead go down the lefthand path. Though there you will encounter a new device of some sort and one of your crewmembers will be lost. Avoid the blue area on the floor that the device creates or thats it for you. If you shoot the device than the blue forcesfield on the floor will disappear so do so now. When the device is destroyed get can then exit the room via the teleporter near the device.

     
 

In the next room you will encounter a different enemie that has flying things it sends out to hurt you every now and again. Destroy it. Remember the right hand path in the first room that we didn't take before that I said ended in a deactived teleporter well that is this room. You have just teleported in an a walkway above the floor that was too high to get to before at the end of the walkway is a control console that actives the de-activated portal at the bottom of the room. Active the teleporter and take it.

     
 

The teleport will take you to the room with the computer core. You can press the control console around the core for some info if you want but I don't think it makes any difference to the game though. Chell (you blue companion) will access something on the wall and tell you that you need to get to the upper floor to deactive the core and open the door out for you. As you can't get to the upper level from here exit though the now open door. Fight you way though the rooms and halls until you reach a room with a blue force field on the floor like the one that you lost a compain before. Hmmm can't see a device anywhere. Wait a minute there is a teleporter. Take it and it will take you to the other side of the blue forces field in the same room. destroy the device there that creates the blue field and you can now walk anywhere in the room. You can now exit though the door that was protected by the field before.

     
 

You will eventually come to the upper floor of the computer core that you needed to get to. While chell works on the door press both consoles in the room to shut down the computer core. You will then get an update on the situation and automatically continue on to the next part.

 

Part 3 - Encounters

Fight your way along to a big circular shaped room where chell will accidently destroy the teleporter leading onwards. Great Chell now what? I know remember those firefly things that repair things maybe they could fix it! Oh there isn't any in this room. Ahh but there is in the room and hall before this. I just need to lure them here he he. Well go back to where the fireflies are and note the devices along the way. when you get the firefly's destroy the next device on the path back the the circular room and they will go to fix it. While they are fixing it or even when there on there way to fix it destroy the next one on the path and keep doing that luring them to the big room. When they finally get there they will fix the teleporter for you. Wow thank god for that! Enter the now repaired teleporter.

     
 

Continue along until you reach the room with a light blue force field covering a door at the top of a ramp. Chell will go to a device and tell you that one must remain to keep the force field open so he de-active's the field and says there. Go up the ramp alone and enter the next room. After a big fight take the teleporter in the room follow the catwalk and take the net teleporter.

     
 

You will then be in a room with another force field device and some fireflies nearby. Every time you shoot the device the fireflies fix it so you can't cross. hmmm see the device near you shoot that and while the firefly's are fixing that shoot the forcefield device and very quickly cross the room past the field area before the firefly's get back and fix it again.

     
 

Contine on to the next room where you will meet up with your boss and he will join you. Ignore the corridor near you it is just a dead end and go the the corridor at the other end of the room and take it. Follow it through to the next room with the statis pods in them and approach the blue force fielded door there. You will find you missing companions and your boss will deactive the field. Contine on and take the teleporter cross the walkway and meeting the eitherian. The missunderstanding between your two races will be explained and your missing crewman teleported back to the ship then you will be to and the Mission is over. As well as that you have gained a valueable ally which will crop up again later on in the game.
